Knitting for Beginners

Knitting Workshop

Hand knitting is a wonderfully relaxing creative pastime. With some yarn, two needles and a few basic stitches you can create a wide range of both beautiful and practical items.

Knitting for Beginners is 2 x 2 hour workshops held two weeks apart.

Within the two sessions you will learn about different yarn types and needles, how to hold your hands, needles and yarn, casting on, casting off, knit stitches and purl stitches to create garter stitch, stocking stitch and ribbed fabric.

This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners with little or no prior knowledge.

Needles and independently produced British wool yarn is provided.

Covid guidelines will be followed and should another lockdown prevent the workshop from going ahead, a full refund will be made.

Dates and times will be available to book later in the year. Be sure to sign up to the newsletter to hear about available dates as soon as they are released.
